Dubai Textile City Free Zone

 

Dubai Textile City is a joint venture between the industry grouping , the Textile Merchants Group (Texmas) , and the  Dubai Ports ,Customs and Free Zones Corporation (PCFC) and involved an  investment of Dhs. 220 million ( US$ 60 million ). Al 282 units have been acquired by wholesale traders on 30-year leases. Investors can take on the units on an individual basis or blocks of five units. Each investor enjoys a 15-year rent free period, apart from the mandatory payments of service charges. For the remaining 15 years, the investors can pay rent at rates 50 per cent lower than those elsewhere in the market at the time.

The development is in the Al Warsan area of Dubai, and is spread over six million hectares. Land has been provided by PCFC and the infrastructure costs are being met by the investors of the units.
