Dubai Airport Free Zone

Established in 1996, and located entirely within the boundary of Dubai International Airport, Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZ) is wholly owned by the Dubai government. The first phase was completed in January 1999 and included two four-story buildings totaling 9,500 square metres, 24 warehouse units, each of 353 square metres and 207,000 square metres of undeveloped land for companies to build their own structures.

The free zone provides foreign investors with all the facilities and services required to operate their business in Dubai and is especially attractive to investors needing fast turnaround of air freighted goods. DAFZ companies have100 per cent foreign ownership and tax exemptions, in addition to other incentives. Customs examination takes place in company premises and airfreight clearance is in 8 – 24 hours.

DAFZ specialises in companies who deal with high value and low volume products and these include such internationally known corporations as Boeing, Chanel, Estee Lauder, Fedex, Logistics, Johnson & Johnson, Matsushita Avionics, Porsche, Ricoh, Samsonite and Tag Heuer.
