Client:
KPMG Hazem Hassan is one of the oldest and prestigious firms in Egypt and
the Middle East specializing corporate finance, auditing and business
consultancy. One of its main divisions is The Executive Selection and Search.
The
Challenge:
The Executive Selection and Search division requirement was to develop an
online recruitment engine tailored for those up till 5 years of working
experience. The system should handle tens of thousands of resumes and should
offer advanced search and selection options for both job seekers and employers.
The system should be free for job seekers and for a fee for employers.
The NetWave Solution:
NetWave was chosen to develop this system in early 1998 to be the first system
of its kind at that time. The system consisted of 3 modules; the job seekers;
the employers; and the back-end control and approval module.

Job seekers
are required to register online and fill their resumes. The resumes do not
appear online for companies until it it gets approved by KPMG. The approval
process is entirely web-based through the system's back-end control.
One the
resume is approved the user is notified by email and he us allowed to search
available job vacancies online and apply for those of interest. The company is
then notified by emails of the application and logs on the site to view the
applicant's resume.

The employers
module has several features that facilitates the selection process. Key features
include:

Advanced
search engine to find a resume meeting a specific criteria.

"My
selection" is shopping cart-like basket that contains the selected resumes for
further screening later

The
employer can view his subscription status online and his remaining allowed
period to use the site. He can also renew online.

Employers
can update their job posting and company profile online. The administrator is
notified of any update in the system.
The web-based
back-end control module has the following key features:

The

KPMG Hazem Hassan is now able to offer their customers a new channel for
recruitment that is easy and affordable. The number of available resumes for
selection has jumped tremendously and the site has gained great recognition in
Egypt and attracted both job seekers and employers and opened new revenue
channels.
